T. Cooke Funeral Directors

T. Cooke Funeral Services was founded in 1800 on land owned by the Trelorwarren Estate. The firm moved to Falmouth after the First World War upon Mr. Cooke's return from America . The premises were situated at the top of High Street (Queen Mary Gardens row) and then moved to Quarry Hill in the 1950s. The present premises were built in 1970 when Mr. Lukey, the founder's great grandson, took over the firm.

Up until 2000 building work was also carried out, at one time maintaining many of the town buildings particularly during and just after the war. At this time there were several undertakers.

T. Cooke Funeral Services is still an independent funeral business and one of the founder members of the Cornwall area N.A.F.D. (National Association of Funeral Directors) and follows its Code of Practice.

We are able to carry out all aspects of a Funeral and can usually accommodate most requests.
